Colorado

We were able to get down to Colorado although on different circumstances than we had originally planned.  We were going to go down for the Pioneer Celebrations and to visit and have fun with family, but plans changed.  My grandpa Morgan ended up having to go in for serious surgery and we were worried he might not be strong enough to endure the surgery so we all headed to Colorado to see him before he went under.  We had a scare and with heavy hearts and tears thought that he was not going to make it....but he did!  He is a strong man for sure!  So we spent much of the trip in the hospital visiting him.  So even though plans changed, we did get to visit a lot with family still and that was fun!  We were able to spend a lot of time with my grandparents Medina and my dad as well and that was nice too.  All in all it was a good trip!
Noah and his cousin Ryan! Ryan is my first cousin and I think we figured that these two were 1st cousins, once removed! lol

My Handsome Boy

Noah is getting bigger, older, and talking more.  The other day Tommy stood up from the table and he said, "Daddy, you need to sit down.  Sometimes you irritate mommy and sometimes you irritate me."  ha ha It was funny.  Also he will apologize for being "ornery."  He says, "Mom, I am sorry I was being ornery."  Cracks me up to hear him talk like that.  He is a super big "blankey" boy and we should give him the new nickname of "Linus" because he carries the thing around everywhere.  He loves milk and would be happy to live off just that.  He does not enjoy eating food and every meal is a battle...even for his favorite foods!  Although if you hand him a chocolate chip cookie he never seems to have any problem with that. :)  He is a good boy.  He loves his sister and is for the most part EXTREMELY good with her.  He is turning into mister independent.  He loves dressing himself and even though his clothes end up backwards or inside out half the time, I let him walk around proudly.  :)  He also insists on trying to comb his own hair now, as pictured below.  He still loves to play with cars and he loves to play with his friends and get out of the house.  He is just our big boy, happy three year old! :)

Makenna ~ 9, 10, 11! :)

Makenna is growing fast.  Here are her 9 month old pictures.  We took her to the doctor and she was 18 pounds 2 ounces and 28 1/4 inches tall.   Around this month she was happily crawling around and standing up on things. :)

Here are her 10 month shots.  Something fun about this month was that her and Noah would both play in their rooms together.  They were not necessarily "playing together", but since the other one was there in the room with them....they didn't seem to need me! lol  It was weird, but nice!

At 11 months old Makenna is getting more and more personality.  She loves to smile and wave.  She says hi, dadda, and mamma.  She stands up on her own and she even attempted to take a few steps the other day.  But she is not officially walking quite yet.  Her and Noah do play with one another now and the sound of them making each other laugh is probably one of the very best sounds in the world!  I love it.  Although they do already fight over toys! ha ha  I thought the fighting wouldn't be starting that soon. I guess I was wrong! Makenna is still super easy and happy.  Although she can definitely pitch a fit.  She throws her head forward and down on the ground when she is mad.  She throws her whole body back when she is mad too.  And she can scream like crazy and then stop immediately once she gets her way. :)  She gives nice open mouth kisses and will snuggle into you when you ask her to give you "loves."  We are so happy to have our precious baby girl.  One of the shots below catches her doing one of her favorite things.... sneak into the bathroom and rip the toilet paper! ha ha

Camping 2012

We were able to go camping this summer and it was a lot of fun.  It was Noah's second time camping and he did MUCH better this time than when he was 18 months.  Ha ha.  Last time he screamed for like 20 minutes when it was bed time and I'm pretty sure that campsites miles away could hear him.  This time he was super excited and hyper when it was bed time and would not calm down to fall asleep.  Much to our dismay we could hear the rest of our family laughing at us as we tried to put both kids to sleep in a tent. :)  We were able to go with my mom, Bob, Jennifer, and Kyle.  It was a great time!  We were even able to go on a little boat ride!  The weather was great, except for it did get super windy.  Also, there were major campfire restrictions so that was a bummer since...the best part of camping is the campfire!  Although the plus of that...we didn't stink as bad when we got home. :)  Noah loved getting dirty and peeing outside.  Makenna did VERY well just hanging out on a blanket or in her walker and she did not cry once in the middle of the night.  She is such an easy baby.  The highlight of the trip was when we went to the campground store (where there were TONS of people) and Noah had to go to the restroom.  There was not a bathroom in the store so we told him to just wait a little bit.  We headed outside to the front of the store to wait for Bob to finish buying something when a man walking towards us started pointing and laughing.  I was confused and looked to where the man was pointing...to discover my three year old had dropped his pants and underwear (all the way to his ankles mind you) and began peeing right in front of the store in front of a bunch of people.! ha ha.   In his defense...he had been allowed to pee outside the whole trip, so he was confused!  It was a good time and a lot of fun.  We look forward to next year's camping trip!
