I can't believe it, but my little baby boy turned four in April. He had a very fun birthday week for sure. His birthday fell on a Wednesday this year and because he usually has preschool that day we didn't plan for too much fun. However, preschool was cancelled and so I decided to take him to McDs to play with his sister in the play place and to have a special birthday M&M McFlurry ice cream. He is like his mama and those are his favorite! So that was fun. Then that Friday we had his friends come over for a super fun water party. We set up our back yard with a slip in slide sprinkler, a big bubble machine, a water tub with squirt guns, and then we have our little play park with swings and a slide that the kids played on too. Then we had presents and sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles upon his request. :) I think he had a lot of fun and so did his guests. It was funny because he got a sunburn and Makenna didn't...he is like his dad and she is like me!
Then on Saturday we had a family birthday party. Both sets of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins came over to celebrate Noah and his special day. He received some great presents and had a wonderful day. Of course he wanted a "Cars" themed birthday party yet again. He sure is obsessed still! He is such a sweet wonderful boy!
He had to get shots at his four year check up and I was ready for a big dramatic scene of him crying and being heard a mile away. However, the nurse gave him shots in both arms and he barely even flinched. He acted like he didn't even know he got shots. Such a tough kid. He is still a small fry. He was 39 1/4 inches tall, putting him in the 27th percentile for height. And he was 32 pounds putting him the 16th percentile for weight. :) He is just a perfect little guy!
After he turned four he would keep telling us over and over, "Look how big I am now that I'm 4!" Then he would stand straight and tall looking like a big boy! He is seriously so cute. He is still extremely smart. His preschool teachers and primary teachers always come up and tell Tommy and I how smart and brilliant he is. He is super friendly and seems to get along very well with others. He is an amazing big brother to his sister. If we are at the park or a restaurant play place he is very protective of his sister and will stand next to her letting kids know they need to be careful of his baby sister. (Of course if one of his friends are with us...he kind of forgets she exists) lol. But if it's just those two he is awesome. He plays very well with her and she absolutely adores her big brother. If he is gone for whatever reason she lights up, runs to him, and yells, "Noah! Noah" with a big smile on her face upon his return. He tries to be very helpful with her and helps her to play with him, color with him, clean with him, etc. Not that they do not ever fight...because they do their share of that too! But most of the time he is an extremely good big brother. In fact if they do fight it's usually because Makenna is being grouchy and then Noah sees he accidentally irritated her and so he keeps doing it! ha ha Quite fun! He is a very sweet boy. He tries hard to help me clean, have good manners, and be respectful. He earns marbles for doing chores and being a good boy and he loves it. When he fills his jar he can pick a $5.00 toy. He really likes to earn marbles and be a good boy! He will be the perfect brother for two little sisters soon. We are so thankful to have Noah in our lives and can't believe he is four!
