Noah gets glasses and starts KINDERGARTEN! :)

My baby boy found out that he needed glasses.   Mostly just for reading and seeing the whiteboard at school.  If he is just playing around and for everyday stuff he doesn't need them.  He looks so cute in them.  Also he started school!  He was very excited, but I could tell that he was very nervous.  He was bummed because none of his friends were going to be in his class.  So he had a hard time with that, but he has made new friends now and is enjoying it.  He got in trouble the first week for too much "talking" and "playing around."  He had to go and sit in the "Thinking Chair"a few times.  But now that school has been in session and he understands the rules and expectations he has been doing very well and staying out of the Thinking Chair. Good thing!  He is such a smart, bright boy.  His teacher said he is very social and gets along well with everyone.   He complains that school is, "Too long," and he only goes a half day which is 12:00- 4:00.  He doesn't know what long is but will find out next year when he goes 7:30-4:00.  He is always very happy and excited when I pick him up so I know he has a good time.  It was sad because on the first day of school Makenna cried for her big brother even more than I did.  She sure loves him and misses him when he's gone.  It was cute because when we were buying Noah school stuff Makenna was a little miffed and asked why she couldn't get any school stuff too.  I explained that she couldn't have it now, but would be able to get things when she started school.  With plenty of attitude she responded to me., "Well my daddy says that girls can go to school to mom."  I laughed and explained it had nothing to do with the fact that she was a girl, but she just wasn't quite old enough yet.  I love these kids of mine. :)

It was a wonderful summer!  Always fun to hang out with family and we all enjoyed ourselves.  Now, we are ready for Arizona to cool off already!!! :)

Kayleigh 9, 10, 11, 12

At 9 months Kayleigh became an expert crawler.  She began to pull herself up and stand against furniture.  She is known for her super cute "scrunch face."  This is where she squishes all her features up and makes sniffing sounds.  We love it! She has began to say "Mama."

At 10 months she began to actually walk along furniture.  She nods her head up and down to signify the answer "yes" when you ask her questions.  She will purposely scratch and hit and then look at you waiting and anticipating her reprimand...and she smiles when she gets in trouble.  Hmm?? lol  She finally began to be the tiniest bit more independent from mommy.  She loves to eat snacks like crackers.  She pretty much refuses to eat baby food.  Just big girl food for her!  She is beginning to play more with her brother and sister.  Finally got her first tooth!

At 11 months she officially became a walker!! She could no longer be in her bumbo seat because she would crawl out of it constantly.  She began to play more and have more fun with toys and her siblings.  Still a very "high needs" baby.

Whoo hoo! Kayleigh turned one year old!!!  She is independent, ornery, sweet, headstrong, fearless, and one cute baby girl!  Our family has not been the same since she was born and we can't imagine life without her! She transitioned to whole milk without too much trouble so that was GREAT!  However, I took her off of her prilosec for a week and all her old symptoms returned - waking in the night screaming, not eating, chocking and gagging while attempting to drink her milk.  SOOOO unfortunately she is back on her acid reflux medicine.  Hoping to try and take her off again in a month or so and hopefully she will be good to go.  Just seems her body takes longer than the average baby to get used to this crazy world! She now says mama, dada, bye (smiles and waves so cute), hi, and down.  She gives kisses and loves.  She will do things like...pull her sisters hair...make her cry, get reprimanded and then will go and kiss her sister's head. :)  She climbs up on everything.  She is a little monkey.  At her appointment she weighed a little over 18 pounds.  So she is a bit of a small fry.  She is still a huge mamas girl.  She will pretty much only go to me, Tommy, and my mom.  Anyone else will evoke a crying fit...but like always as soon as she is back in my arms she stops immediately and then gives a triumphant smirk to the person who was attempting to hold her.  She loves her cousin Ava.  She is very gentle with her, loves to smile and play with her, and give her kisses.  Soo cute!  Also, she pretty much always sleeps through the night now.  Only took 12 months and is still inconsistent.  But wow the progress sure has been nice for me.   She is what we call our little human vacuum cleaner because she sure finds every crumb, crayon, and playdoh piece and sticks it in her mouth as fast as she can.  We sure love this little one....even if she did almost make her mom go insane.

I sure love this little one!
